The Never-Ending Anti-Bullying Machine. At the time, something mean was posted on Twitter (now known as X) every 60 seconds, so Champions Against Bullying created a Twitter bot that delivered kindness to randomly selected users every 30 seconds. It paired 1 compliment with 1 newly selected Twitter user each time, tweeting the positive message directly at them. The NiceBot was the only automation exemption Twitter ever allowed, that we knew of! In addition to living on the social media platform, we 3D printed physical NiceBots and sent them to celebrity influencers who took a stand against bullying. Each NiceBot was powered by a Raspberry Pi and 4G enabled so it could display the messages as they went out in real-time.
We organically reached over 14.1 million people in 142 different countries, with 590,000+ user engagements and mentions, and an amazing 99% positive response rate. The NiceBot was going strong on its mission to spread kindness to every single user on the platform, all 320 million of them, for over a year. Read more here.
